WHY CHARIS EXISTS

When life gets difficult, support
shouldn’t be harder to find.

When people face difficult moments in life — through illness, job loss, rising costs or unexpected change — they don’t experience problems in isolation. They face a system that can be complex, fragmented and difficult to navigate at the very point they need it most.

People facing financial and life challenges often lack a trusted, dignified single point of access to coordinate fragmented support systems. As a result, many do not know where to turn, are unable to access available support, face barriers including complexity and exclusion, and fall into repeated cycles of crisis.

Our Vision

A future where no one faces essential life challenges alone.

Our Purpose

To connect and coordinate common-sense solutions, delivering support that enables people to manage the practical challenges of life.

SUPPORTING PEOPLE ACROSS THE SPECTRUM OF NEED

Most people don’t expect to need support —
until suddenly they do.

A single life event can quickly change someone’s circumstances, leaving them unsure where to turn or how to access help. Charis acts as a gateway, connecting people to the support they need.

Life shocks

Supporting people experiencing illness, job loss, bereavement or sudden change.

Ongoing challenges

Helping people managing ongoing financial or personal challenges with consistent support.

Excluded groups

Reaching those disconnected from available support or excluded from systems that should serve them.

ADDRESSING ESSENTIAL NEEDS FIRST

Foundational support that creates
the conditions for resilience.

For many households, the challenges they face are immediate and practical — such as keeping warm, putting food on the table or replacing essential household items. By addressing these needs first, we help create the conditions for stability, confidence and longer-term resilience.

A warm home, a full cupboard, peace of mind.

Support that meets people where they are — practically and with dignity.

ONE PLATFORM FOR END-TO-END DELIVERY

From initial engagement to
final delivery — in one place.

Behind every support journey sits a complex set of processes — identifying need, assessing eligibility, making decisions, distributing funding and ensuring support is delivered effectively. When these steps are managed across multiple systems or organisations, delivery can become fragmented, slow and difficult to manage.

Charis brings these elements together through a single, integrated platform that manages the full lifecycle of support. This creates a delivery model that is consistent, transparent and scalable.

TRUSTED BY PARTNERS · VALUED BY CUSTOMERS

Two decades of delivering complex programmes
with care, accuracy and accountability.

Delivering support at scale requires more than capability — it requires trust, consistency and proven delivery. For over two decades, Charis has worked with organisations across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors to deliver funding, products and services to households and communities across the UK.

Our partners rely on us to manage complex programmes, often in highly regulated and high-pressure environments. For the people we support, help is delivered quickly, practically and with dignity — in a way that feels straightforward, respectful and responsive.

Programmes built on trust
Partners value the simplicity and reliability of our approach — and the people we support value the dignity and speed of the experience.

Charis Aggregated Support Programmes

Park Homes Programme

REGULATED · WHD COMPLIANT + DISCRETIONARY

A regulated and discretionary funding scheme for off-grid Park Home & Caravan households.

An established, Ofgem Warm Home Discount compliant scheme that enables retail energy providers to meet their WHD obligations while delivering targeted support to a highly vulnerable group of households. The scheme operates annually from April to March, aligned to the WHD scheme year.

In addition to regulated funding, the scheme accepts discretionary, non-regulated contributions, allowing organisations to extend the reach and impact of their support beyond core obligations.

REGULATED · WHD COMPLIANT + DISCRETIONARY

Reducing energy costs and improving efficiency for households in hardship.

An Ofgem Warm Home Discount compliant scheme that enables retail energy providers to contribute regulated funding while delivering targeted, practical support to households experiencing energy-related financial hardship.
